Athletics
Varsity Swim Team
Alma College Athletics · Aug 2025 – Present
Competing at the NCAA Division III level as a full-time CS student. Practice starts before most people are awake, and balancing that with coursework, projects, and campus involvement has shaped how I approach everything — tight schedules, consistent output, no excuses.
The discipline of competitive swimming translates directly into software development. You don't skip sets because they're hard, and you don't skip edge cases because they're inconvenient. The mindset is the same.

Posey Global Fellowship
Osgood Center for International Studies — Washington, D.C. · Summer 2025 · Internship
Selected through a competitive process to intern at a Washington D.C. think tank conducting international policy and AI research alongside scholars from around the world. Took me out of my CS comfort zone entirely — and that was the point. Communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences, collaborating with people from completely different fields, presenting research under scrutiny: all of it made me a sharper thinker and a cleaner communicator.
